Having the advantage of playing on both sides of the ball being that we are a provider, engineer solutions, and install low voltage in-house, GigSouth is able to identify a huge problem with Congestion for MDU/MTU development. IDFs on each floor are packed and messy, and now requiring more space. More space means more cost. Above ceilings in corridors/hallways are packed with bundles of micro-duct running in all directions from multiple providers trying to pack their fiber above ceiling. This interferes with other disciplines such as plumbing, fire, electrical, and HVAC to name a few. In the unit, RCC panels have now become 4’ long and still packed due to multiple provider fiber and ONT. This is not scalable, thus not the future, because there is a very efficient solution in which we provide.
There simply isn’t enough real estate in Telco closets throughout a facility, smart home wiring panels within units, and above a ceiling of corridors to handle multiple providers trying to squeeze their own micro duct and fiber to every unit. Every developer understands the difficulty to manage multiple providers all installing fiber to every unit.

When a provider owns the homerun cabling, it allows them to prevent choice, remove all accountability, and creates an exclusive presence. Even without having an exclusive relationship with the property because there is no shared medium for others to provide services.
Our carrier, vendor, and service neutral in-building fiber solutions are engineered to provide a small footprint, clean and timely deployments, organized MDF/IDF, smaller smart home panels, competitive market place with more competition, and fiber network for vendor services who normally struggle to get around large facilities.
With our planned and engineering shared fiber network connecting every IDF and MDF closet, we design enough strands to accommodate all property vendor services such as camera, gate access, water meter, HVAC, A/V, packaging, fire protection, etc. Once you remove each of the very long list of vendors’ pricing for installing their own fiber network, our shared fiber quickly becomes economical.

As bandwidth availability increases in urban markets, the digital divide grows between urban and rural areas. However, Internet and TV frustrations don’t exist just for rural markets.
